Who doesn't love a good ghost story? Something about the darkness outside, and hearing a spooky tale that sends shivers down your spine is just the perfect addition to a nice night. I remember as a kid my friends and I would tell some ghost tales (that we probably made up, or heard somewhere) and would scare the crap out of each other. Ever since then, I've always loved learning about the creepier things, and I'm fascinated with the haunted history of places.

Haunted New Harmony

Haunted New Harmony is a New Harmony-based business that explores New Harmony, Indiana's spooky past. They offer ghost walks around town and even paranormal investigations. Coming up on June 11th they've got an investigation of a haunted building that you may not want to miss!

Paranormal Investigation

From 8-10:30 PM on June 11th Haunted New Harmony will be hosting a paranormal investigation of the Capers Emporium.  Apparently, there was so much paranormal activity at their last investigation they decided to host another one.  Here's what Haunted New Harmony had to say about the investigation:

Our investigation of Capers Emporium was so active and fascinating, we decided to do it again. Join us on Saturday, June 11th (8-10:30pm) for a paranormal investigation of the old Odd Fellows Building which is now home to the eclectic, vibrant Capers Emporium store.

If you’ve been on our Ghost Walk, you know all about Eddie. He is a resident ghost who often moves items, touches people and makes strange sounds. From our last investigation, we also learned there are others in attendance. The second floor was once a dance floor where teenagers from the 1950’s would meet to socialize and dance to the live band. The first floor was home to Owen’s Market, New Harmony’s grocery store. So many lives passed through this building, it’s no wonder it’s haunted. Tickets are $30 and are non-refundable.

New Harmony Also Has Ghost Walks

If a paranormal investigation isn't your thing, Haunted New Harmony hosts ghost walks around town too.  Many weekends throughout summertime they hold ghost walks where you can walk around historic New Harmony and hear all about it's creepy past, and who knows, maybe you'll meet a resident who never left...  You can see all of the upcoming ghost walk dates, and purchase tickets through Haunted New Harmony's website.
