Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman Talks Thanksgiving on the Road + Band’s New Whiskey Collab & More
Ahead of the upcoming 103 GBF Damn Loud Holiday Rock Show as we welcome the Rock Resurrection Tour to Evansville's Ford Center, Kat had the opportunity to talk with Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman.
Rock Resurrection Tour
Theory of a Deadman is currently out on the road with Skillet, along with special guest Saint Asonia for the final leg of the Rock Resurrection Tour. In its second run of dates for the tour, there are only nine shows remaining, including the one set to take place at Evansville's Ford Center on December 6, 2023.
New Music and More
We covered a lot of ground in our twelve-minute interview, talking about everything from the band's eighth studio album, Dinosaur, to the acoustic release of their single "Medusa" which dropped last month. We also learned that Tyler wrote and performed a song called "Judge and Jury" for guitarist Sophie Lloyd's new album, Imposter Syndrome.
Holidays on the Road
We talked about a lot of things in our interview, but one thing that really stood out was that Tyler and the rest of the tour enjoyed a Thanksgiving celebration together during their time in Florida. Tyler shares that it wasn't a traditional Thanksgiving meal with rolls on the table, but rather it was served with a side of cornbread.
Whisky Collaboration
Theory of a Deadman recently collaborated with Three Chord Bourbon to release their own signature whiskey as well. Bottles are currently available for pre-order through the band's website.
Weird Fans and What He's Listening To
When it comes to weird fan interactions, Tyler shared the story of a stealthy fan who had been hitching rides on the bumper of the band's tour bus. He also shared that he has been listening to music from artist Maggie Rogers lately. You can listen to the full interview below.
