The Worst Jobs to Have During a Hot Evansville Summer
Summers in Evansville and the Tri-State are particularly brutal. High temperatures mixed with high humidity combine for some oppressive heat. Makes me glad that I get to sit on my hairy butt all day.
It also makes me appreciate the folks that really work for a living...the folks that do these kinds of jobs.

Who am I kidding, this job is hard all year long. If it's hot and nasty, you're outside working. If it's cold and gloomy, you're still outside working. Not to mention that you could die in a number of horrible ways.

Whether you're welding all day or putting part A into part B, working in a factory can be tough. On your feet all day, most likely in a really hot setting.

Two words...screw this. I just don't like heights, that's all. Heat rises, and you're 20-30 feet closer to the sun. Oh yeah, you can also die doing this job too. No thanks.

Sounds like a great job on the surface. You get to go hang out at beautiful, historic Bosse Field all summer long and see every Evansville Otters home game. But you also have to put on some heavy, fur costume that some other knucklehead has been sweating in for an entire summer.

You're out in the sun, dealing with a bunch of bratty kids that parents are trying to keep occupied. And depending on the camp, you could get impaled by an errant arrow.

I don't even like standing over a hot stove while I cook for my own family...what makes you think I enjoy standing over an even bigger, hotter stove, cooking for people I don't even know.

You know the unofficial motto of the post office, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night..." That means, regardless of the weather, these folks are out delivering your parcels. Trying to avoid dogs, crazy neighbors and cars to get you your mail.

Spending your day under someone's car in some hot ass garage, hopefully keeping you from being stranded on the side of the road in the heat. Seriously, that God for these people!
