Want To Speed Up Your Check-Out At Wal-Mart? There Could Be An App For That.

Tired of spending two hours running around a giant building gathering up your purchases, only to spend another hour in line at the check out behind some idiot with cartloads of purchases. Wal-Mart could soon have an app to make it a bit quicker.

At a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Arkansas store employees are currently testing out an app on their iPhones, that let them scan items as they take them off the shelf and place them in bags. Once they get to a self-check out, the app would upload the list of their purchases to the system and then allow them to pay.

So far there is no plan to allow you to make payment by phone. And even though it is being tested in one store, there are no plans for a major roll out. There is also no word on how this could cut back on cashiers.

Whats the worst thing about a trip to Wal-Mart? For me, 30 check outs and only 3 open. Bring on the app!
