The University of Evansville will be hosting a "Pride Camp" this summer and it is open to area youth ages 13 through 17.

What is Pride Camp at UE?

According to the University of Evansville website, the Pride Camp, being held in June, is geared toward giving queer and questioning youth and allies the opportunity to discover and celebrate their authenticity while building a caring and supportive peer community.

Hear powerful stories of LGBTQ+ history and heroes – and learn how to write your own story your way.

What to Expect at Pride Camp

Participants will have the opportunity to tell their stories and have the opportunity to learn more about the biology of sex and gender, as well as learn about future political concerns for the LGBTQIA+ community, and explore LGBTQIA+ in religious studies. A number of university professors, as well as members of the community will be on hand as guest camp counselors and guest speakers.

When and Where

Pride Camp will take place June 18 - June 24, 2023, on the university campus, located in Evansville, Indiana. Participants will stay on campus during the camp.

How to Register for Pride Camp at UE

Registration for participating in Pride Camp at the University of Evansville is open to ages 13 through 17. The cost to register is $700 per participant and registration is open through June 11th.
