They say when pigs fly, and apparently we're about to find out exactly when that is.

Saturday, October 3, in downtown Evansville.

Albion Fellows Bacon Center is launching its first-ever Bringing Home the Bacon Pig Raffle, and we're excited to be part of the fun as media partners for the event. I'll also be there serving as emcee for the afternoon.

The all-new fundraiser takes place from noon to 4 p.m. on Locust Street outside Old National Events Plaza (between SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd & SE 9th St) and will raise money to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout our region.

More Than Just Flying Pigs

There's plenty happening before and after the big launch, too.

Bringing Home the Bacon will include local food trucks, a Kids Zone with children's activities, community activities, and a merchandise table featuring Albion Fellows Bacon Center and event-themed gear.

More importantly, every piggy purchased helps support the work Albion does every day.

Albion Fellows Bacon Center is the region's only rape crisis center serving 11 counties and provides survivors with emergency shelter, crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, safety planning, and prevention education.

Come hang out with us downtown, buy yourself a little plastic pig and help us bring home the bacon for Albion Fellows Bacon Center.
