In my opinion, there is nothing better than food served up at a local hole in the wall style restaurant.  They're usually locally owned and operated, and serve up delicious food at a value.  But what makes a restaurant a "hole in the wall?"  Here is how TheFreeDictionary.com defines a "hole in the wall" restaurant as:

A small, inconspicuous place, often an establishment such a restaurant. The term sometimes but not always has a negative connotation implying a place that is perceived to be disreputable in some way.

Personally, when I hear about something being a hole in the wall, I'm instantly down to try it out, because usually, you'll get delicious food and a great low-key atmosphere.

Best Hole-In-The-Wall Mexican Restaurant in Indiana

Recently Cheapism.com combed through reviews of hole-in-the-wall style Mexican restaurants throughout the country and found the best one in each state. They say what they mean by a "hole in the wall" were restaurants that weren't much to look at, but the magic was happening behind the scenes in the kitchen.

Cheapism named Taqueria Luz Tacos in Union City, Indiana the best hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant in the state.

Located on one of the main streets in Union City, Taqueria Luz Tacos has a small town feel and a brightly painted red and green exterior. Inside, walk through the small shop at the front to the narrow kitchen and dining area in the back where all the magic happens. The low ceiling makes it feel a bit cramped, but the great food and cheap prices are worth it.

I took a look at the Taqueria Luz Tacos menu, and my goodness it all sounds delicious.  I would definitely order their super burrito with a side of chips and queso!
