Forget the Cooking and Clean-up

Thanksgiving is often synonymous with big family gatherings. You know, the ones that leave you exhausted and in need of a holiday vacation... but what if you just skipped all of the cooking and clean-up, and avoided all of the awkward conversations with your weird aunt altogether?

But Where Should You Go?

If you're ready for a Thanksgiving getaway, you might want to decide on a destination before you just hop in your car and head off down the road. Fortunately, I know just the place.

Situated on the border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this small Southern destination is a picturesque place to celebrate your favorite fall holiday. Hole up in a cozy log cabin or historic bed and breakfast. Burn off that turkey and stuffing by hiking to waterfalls, horseback-riding through wooded trails, or taking the aerial tramway to Ober Gatlinburg. Then cheers to another year of gratitude at one of the area's wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

Something for Everyone

Undoubtedly there is plenty to do in Gatlinburg for every budget, taste, and interest. So forget the big family get-together. Skip the turkey and stuffing and hours over the stove, and adventure to one of the best Thanksgiving towns in the country.
