When news broke of Tina Turner's death, I immediately remembered seeing her in concert at Roberts Stadium in Evansville. It was her Private Dancer Tour in 1985. Here's what I remember.

Alright Evansville, I have a bone to pick with you. Ever since the Ford Center opened in downtown, I have heard nothing but complaints about parking around the building.

No amount of arguing, petitioning or begging can save Roberts Stadium now. The Evansville Parks Board voted unanimously Wednesday to tear down the old stadium at the corner of the Lloyd Expressway and Boeke Road.
