Sheena walked a lonely road until she came into the care of our friends at PC Pound Puppies. Believed to be about 3 years old and weighing approximately 55 pounds, PC Pound Puppies had this to say about Sheena:

Sheena was found walking alone on the street wearing a pink sweater and was never claimed. She seems quite sad and confused. She was recently temp tested which revealed she has trust issues with humans. She is very shy and doesn't really seem to know how to interact when meeting humans or dogs. She can be quite temperamental and will need a calm and patient handler to help gain that trust. She seems to prefer women. She takes treats gently when offered to her.

She has no interest in toys and remains neutral and disinterested with other dogs. She has made huge strides (largely because of her bond with a volunteer). She has a submissive grin and is timid and tense, so she can be difficult to read and is slow to trust.

If you're interested in adding Sheena to your family, you can fill out an adoption application here. See more adoptable dogs from PC Pound Puppies here and be sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest news and upcoming events. You can also attend their weekly adoption events on Sundays from noon to 3pm at the Pet Food Center on First Avenue in Evansville.

You can get in touch with PC Pound Puppies by email at pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com or by phone at 812-483-4341. They do respond to inquiries and adoption applications at the earliest opportunity, but please remember to be be patient as they are volunteers who all work full-time jobs. They always do their best to return messages and schedule adoption interviews within a couple of days of receiving your application. Again, you can submit an application here.
