Compiling Data and Crunching Numbers - Illinois City Takes Top Spot
After compiling all of the data, and crunching all of the numbers, they released a list of the 50 Safest and Most Affordable Cities. With an average mortgage cost of $1,840, 851 property crimes reported, and 215 violent crimes, the top spot as the safest, and most affordable is the city in the Unites States goes to Elgin, Illinois.

As for Tennessee, taking the #1 safest and most affordable in the state, and number 39 on the list overall, is Clarksville. The average home mortgage in Clarksville is $1,819, with 3,493 property crimes, and 871 violent crimes.
