Hey there! Melissa Awesome here! I recently found this soap company that had scents so intriguing, that I HAD to try them out.  They're called Outlaw Soaps, and when I tell you the soaps really live up to the outlaw name, I'm not lying.

You see these aren't your mama's soaps and lotions. I enjoy getting dressed up and looking nice as much as the next girl, but on the regular, I admit, I'm not the girliest. Most days you can find me in jeans and a band tee.  Even though I may not always dress the fanciest, I always want to smell good, but typical scents you find for women are floral and sugary sweet, and those scents just aren't for me, I like something with a little more edge. Outlaw Soaps have scents that make me want to head out west on a horse named Sagebrush (true story my cousin's neighbor had a horse named Sagebrush when I was a kid and we used to feed him food from my uncle's garden all the time).   Plus you just always feel a little extra somethin' about yourself when you know you smell good.

Another thing I love about Outlaw Soaps, is these scents aren't separated by scents for men or scents for women. All the scents are easily interchangeable. In fact, I can't get my husband to stop using my Blazing Saddles scented lotion from Outlaw Soaps.  When I said earlier that these ain't your mama's traditional soaps, let me tell you what I mean.

Outlaw has seven extremely unique scents that I really think you'll love:

  • Calamity Jane- I'm putting her first because this scent is so good I want my entire house to smell like it.  In fact I already ordered the Calamity Jane candle because I want my whole house to smell like it! Calamity Jane consists of a combination of clove, orange, cinnamon, and, of course, whiskey!
  •  Blazing Saddles-  smells like leather, gunpowder, sandalwood, and sagebrush.  I have the Blazing Saddles lotion, and I love it. plus the Outlaw lotions will not only make you smell amazing, they make your hands feel nice and soft too.
  • Fire in the Hole- smells like campfire, gunpowder, whiskey, sagebrush, and excitement.  This one will make you feel like you just got back from the best camping trip ever.
  • Lust in the Dust-smells like sagebrush, sandalwood, and campfire
  • Mountain Hideout- smells like pine trees, damp earth, and campfire
  • The Gambler-smells like bourbon, tobacco, and leather
  • Home on the Range- smells like laundry, blackberries, and fresh-cut grass

As you can tell by the scent descriptions, these scents are anything but ordinary.  Another thing I really like is the sustainability aspect of Outlaw Soaps. My bottle of Blazing Saddles scented lotion isn't single-use plastic. It's an aluminum bottle that when I'm done with the lotion I can rinse out and recycle with my aluminum cans. I love that! I'm always looking for ways to cut down on my waste if I can, and I think it's awesome that Outlaw Soaps make it easy to recycle their packaging.  Outlaw soaps are made in the USA, and I think this line in the about us section on their website describes them perfectly:

Outlaw Soaps a company for adventurous people, by adventurous people. We live like the products we make: we love campfire, whiskey, and ill-advised explosions... standing a little too close, but being sure to wear fire-proof clothes.

If you're anything like me, you're always up for an adventure, and never turn down a reason to hit the road to find the next adrenaline rush, then I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Outlaw Soaps as much as I do!
