There's no doubt that here at GBF we love animals and we definitely are all in agreement that rescued is our favorite breed. We've been featuring adoptable dogs for quite a while now but we felt like it was time to get a little di-puurrr-sity on GBF. We've teamed up with the Posey Humane Society in Mount Vernon to bring you an adoptable cat of the week. Each week we'll be sharing a photo of one of PHS's adoptable kitties along with some details about each cat.

This week, I'm excited to introduce you to Nova and Charlie. These two, while not siblings, are a bonded pair and must go to a forever home together. Nova, the buff kitty and Charlie, the yellow kitty, love each other very much. The pair are believed to be about 2.5 years old and have been at PHS since August 2020. Their adoption fee is $35 and they are altered, fully vetted and microchipped.

Posey Humane Society has plenty of other kitties as well as lots of dogs, both young and old. Their adoption fees are $30 for cats, $50 for kittens up to 6 months old, $100 for dogs and $150 for puppies under 6 months old. The adoption fees include their microchip, spay or neuter, heartworm test and getting the animal up to date on vaccines. If you're interested in meeting this week's adoptable cat or any of the other wonderful and deserving animals in the care of Posey Humane Society, you can visit them on Facebook or by visiting their official website, PoseyHumane.org. You can also reach them by phone at 812-838-3211.
