Henderson’s No Empty Plates Concert Aims to Fight Hunger
The Henderson, Kentucky, music scene is coming together for a cause that hits close to home.
Local Musicians Join Forces to Fight Hunger
With the delays in SNAP benefits and the rising cost of food, more families than ever are struggling to keep their tables full. On Friday, November 21, local musicians are stepping up to help with “No Empty Plates”, a food drive and benefit concert to combat food insecurity presented by indie music store, Shop at Ice Cream.
How to Attend the No Empty Plates Benefit
Hosted at Thomason’s Banquet Hall in Henderson, the event aims to raise both donations and awareness for those in need. Admission is just $2 for those who bring a non-perishable food donation, or $4 without a donation. All proceeds and collected food items will go directly to East End Salvation Army and Henderson Christian Community Outreach.

Henderson Bands and Businesses Step Up to Help
The lineup includes performances by Impera, Weak Knees, Spun Out, Crossed, and Nero Angalo, with doors opening at 4 PM. Between sets, there will even be a Super Smash Bros. tournament, and the winner will take home a pair of tickets to see The Offspring and Bad Religion live at Evansville’s Ford Center, courtesy of 103 GBF. Plus, Lady Luck Tattoo and Body Piercing will be raffling off a $200 gift certificate.
