Will Nikki Sixx be joining John 5 & the Creatures on their upcoming U.S. tour? It certainly looks that way going by a comment the Motley Crue bassist added to a post on the guitarist's official Instagram page yesterday (Oct. 28).

"Better bring some snow boots," Sixx wrote on the post where John 5 revealed images of new shirts which will be available at the shows. "Gonna be a great tour. I'm excited to play bass on this."

Earlier this year, John 5 & the Creatures were joined by Sixx at a show in Los Angeles at the Whisky A Go Go during the opening song, a cover of the Motley Crue classic "Shout At the Devil."

Sixx's other band, Sixx: A.M., is currently on indefinite hiatus, and the bass player has been working on another book. He's also recorded four new Crue tracks to go along with the upcoming film on the band, The Dirt. Last summer, Sixx said he was finished with touring, deciding instead to focus on spending time with his family.

"For those of you asking, I've been playing in bands and touring the world for 40 years. I have no immediate tour plans unless I get a wild hair up my ass or something or somebody really inspirational comes along," he said at the time. "Since I've been home I've just been writing music non-stop, recording with other artists, taking vocal, bass and guitar lessons and focusing on photography. Money has never been and isn't a driving force for me... Let the chips fall where they fall...So I guess I'm unofficially retired or maybe just expired at this time. Nice to give 100 percent of my time to my wife and kids."

John 5 & the Creatures' "Famous Monsters Tour" kicks off, appropriately enough, on Halloween this Wednesday (Oct. 31) at The Blue Room in Harrison, Ohio. The trek runs through the middle of November. For the full list of dates, head over to this location.
