Newly Sworn in EPD Officer Has A Very Rock n Roll Name!
Evansville Police Department swore in 8 new officers today, but one name stood out to me because it's a most rock n' roll name!
EPD have had a busy day! They swore in 8 new officers, & had several officers that received promotions and one merit award recipient! But when reading about the 8 officers who were sworn in today, one name really stood out!
Could this be the most rock n' roll police officer ever?
His name? Garrett VanFleet! When I was reading the names of the 8 officers sworn in today, I had to do a double take, did that say Greta Van Fleet?! haha! Talk about a rock n' roll name!
But on a serious note, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Eyan Childress, D.C. Christian, Christopher Egan, Ryan Frazier, Phillip Goodman, Trevor Koontz, John Spencer, and Garrett VanFleet as they were all sworn in today as officers for EPD. Congratulations to each of you, and a huge thank you from all of us at 103GBF for stepping up for our community.
Another shout out to all of the officers who were promoted and to Officer Jeff Worthington who received a Bronze Merit for taking life saving measures on duty. Again, I'd like to congratulate you all and a huge thank you for protecting our community! We appreciate you and your service!
Here's what EPD had to say:
