New Study Shows Putting Up Holiday Decorations Early Makes You Happy
But would it make your neighbors happy? Or have the opposite effect?
The #1 dilemma that most people have this time of year is when to put up their decorations for Halloween and Christmas. "Is it too early? Will people get mad? Is this social acceptable right now?"
Well, according to a new study: WHO CARES?? Experts say that putting up holiday decorations early could make you happier. So if it makes you happy, do it!
I'm on the fence about this though. Because Halloween is my favorite holiday. So I like putting up my decorations in August. And according to this study, I should! Because it makes me happy!
But on the other hand, if I see businesses selling Christmas stuff in September, I get mad. Maybe because I feel like Christmas is encroaching on my happy Halloween time. Or maybe I'm just a Scrooge.
All I know is that if I want to put up my Halloween decorations up in August LET ME. It makes me happy!!!
And I'll try not to get mad when my neighbors put up their Christmas lights the day after Halloween... Because we all need a little more happiness in our lives. And if happiness = some twinkly lights outside your house, so be it.
