Man Nearly Cuts Off Burglars Hand with Machete

This story is a whirlwind from start to finish...

This almost seems like one of those stories that you read and think "This can't be real..." BUT IT IS.

A man in West Virginia (Shannon Steele) kept having things stolen from his house. Like, thousands of dollars of property was stolen from inside and outside of his home multiple times. And he suspected that the same person was doing it every time.

The prime suspect? HIS OWN FRIEND AND NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR.

So what did he do? He decided to test his friend. He told him that he was going out of town and waited in his house to see what would happen. Sure enough, the guy came over and tried to kick down his door.

That's not a friendly thing to do...

So Steele grabbed his machete and started swinging, nearly cutting off his friends hand.

The saddest part of all of this was that these two seemed like really good friends. Steele bought them matching bikes to go riding together. YOU DON'T STEAL FROM FRIENDS THAT BUY YOU MATCHING BIKES!

After the incident, Steele says he’s not optimistic their friendship can ever be mended.

"I hope you heal soon,” he said. “Sorry. You shouldn't have done it."
