I admit I am not a huge gamer, but when I heard about the new Street Fighter 6 game that was recently released, I was all ears and my mouth may or may not have started watering. That's because they have included Kentucky's favorite Colonel and fried chicken guru, Colonel Sanders as a fighter!

I do remember playing Street Fighter at the arcade though! It was one of my favorites because you could really let out some feelings by "punching" and "kicking" your opponent.  My favorite fighter to use was Chun-Li because she had awesome spinning kicks and was the first bad mamma-jamma introduced in the early 90s.  Up until she came on the scene, the only player options were big burly dudes.

Street Fighter has changed so much since it was first released. As technology has improved, so have the character graphics. With this new sixth version, the details are amazing! Something exciting about this new version, and where Col. Sanders comes into play, is that gamers can customize their fighters to look however they want. They can also use certain codes called "recipes" to fight with popular characters from other games or, you guessed it, the KFC King himself. Of course, this Colonel is more beef than chicken with those juiced-up muscles! Holy Cow!

He has some hilarious fighting combos like "The Bucket" and "The Big Crunch."

KFC Canada even has an accompanying promotion where gamers can send in videos playing with Col. Sanders to win gift cards for free chicken. Come on KFC! You know you need to hook us up here in the motherland of fried chicken!

It is still fun to be able to play with this Kentucky legend. If you want to try it out, the recipe code is WFFCHCV5A and it is available until August 31st.  I wonder what ole Harland would think about the excitement surrounding his image kicking butt in a video game!
