IU Suspends Classes for Two Weeks to Prevent Coronavirus Spread

Indiana University has suspended classes for the two weeks following Spring Break to avoid potential spread of Coronavirus. 

According to the News at IU website, IU President Michael McRobbie has issued a university-wide letter "regarding specific measures in support of the health and well-being of students and others in the Indiana University community."

One of those key measures  includes temporarily suspending classroom teaching for two weeks following IU's scheduled spring break, which runs March 15 to 22. Students will be taught remotely versus in a classroom setting. Students are scheduled to return to campus on Monday, April 6.

In the letter, students are encouraged to travel home during this time period. The University has also provided information on virtual teaching so students are able to work remotely from home. Classroom experiences typically including laboratories and similar settings are being further considered.
