A company based out of Louisville, Kentucky has issued a recall for more than 105,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken products.

More than 105k Pound of Frozen Chicken Product Recalled

According to a report from the USDA Food Safety amd Inspection Service (FSIS), Custom Food Solutions is recalling approximately 105,164 pounds of its frozen chicken product due to "misbranding and undeclared allergens."

Recalled Chicken Product May Contain Undeclared Allergens

The USDA says the product, branded as "YATS DRUNKEN CHICKEN COOKED CHICKEN THIGH MEAT IN A SPICY TOMATO SAUCE WITH BEER," may contain egg and sesame which are both known allergens. These ingredients are not declared on the products label.

Recalled Chicken Product Shipped from Kentucky Company to Indiana Restaurants

The products were shipped to restaurants in Indiana in 60-pound case boxes. Each case contains twelve 5-pound bags of the affected products. The recalled products are marked inside the USDA seal with the establishment code "EST. P-17891," and the packages include the following lot codes:

Recalled Chicken Product May Be in Restaurant Freezers

The FSIS shares its concern that the recalled chicken products may currently be stored in restaurant freezers. Restaurants should not serve the recalled products. The affected products should be discarded or returned to the point of purchase.
