High Score Saloon to Host Throwback on Main Block Party in Downtown Evansville

We were so sad to learn that Downtown Evansville decided to do away with their outdoor summer series on Main Street, but we are so incredibly excited to learn that the city's first bar arcade, High Score Saloon is picking up the tradition and will host a big block party this September.

High Score Saloon

High Score Saloon is a popular local hangout in downtown Evansville where you can join your friends (or make new ones!) while enjoying an adult beverage and playing any number of vintage video games all set to free play. They also have a fantastic selection of pinball machines too. Currently housed in the lower level of a building in the 300 block of Main Street, High Score Saloon is currently working on remodeling a new location about a block down the street. However, amongst the dust and sweat of the remodel, they've found time to revive the Throwback night on Main Street.

Couldn't Let It "Fade Away"

Always willing to jump in to help, the owners of High Score Saloon didn't want residents to miss out on the fun that was to be had down on Main Street so they took matters into their own hands to plan the High Score: Throwback on Main.

We couldn’t let one of our favorite downtown events fade away so we’re taking the reigns and celebrating the end of summer ourselves!
High Score: Throwback on Main will be our annual block party celebration this year and hopefully for years to come. We will be expanding our outdoor biergarten for better service, adding games to our outdoor arcade and bringing back lots of favorites from previous years + some new fun things to do!

What to Expect at the Throwback on Main

Grab your friends and get ready for a fun throwback party on Main Street complete with an outdoor arcade, giant Mario Kart, music, food trucks, a beer garden, and a whole lot more. You won't want to miss your chance to take a photo with the Jurassic Park Jeep from RaptorCon, or hang out with the Southern Indiana Ghostbusters either. Don't forget to wear your favorite throwback fashions too!

The High Score Throwback on Main will take place Saturday, September 10, 2022, beginning at 7 pm. There are only a limited number of tickets for this year's event so you will want to purchase your tickets in advance for this 21 and over event. Admission is $10 in advance (plus applicable fees) or $15 (cash only) the night of the event.
