During Governor Andy Beshear's address to Kentucky April 2nd, 2020, he updated the Commonwealth on the latest case total. Plus, a word about schools and state parks.

Beshear announced 100 new COVID-19 cases and adjusted Wednesday's total down to 670 after discovering 10 of the originally-announced 680 were folks from other states. Kentucky's new total is 770. He also announced 11 new deaths.

The governor made a recommendation to Kentucky's superintendents to extend in-home instruction through at least the end of Friday, May 1st.

Beshear also expanded travel restrictions to include visitors from out-of-state, who must now self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

Also, state, city, and county governments may now hire back retirees if needed.

And, starting Friday, April 3rd, 2020, there will be no overnight stays in state parks.
