The annual St. Jude Radiothon is underway! We want to take a look back at one of my favorite Tri-State St. Jude patients, Jessicah.

Jessicah Fromme and I grew up together. As young children, I vaguely remember her being sick, but I was too young to really understand what was going on with her. Jessicah was diagnosed with Leukemia at a very young age. She spent a lot of time at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital getting treatment. When she was home, in Chandler, she and I would play together like nothing was wrong. Somewhere, I have photos of us playing on my swing set and riding around in my Corvette Power Wheels car. Again, at that age, she was just a friend that I played with. I had no idea that she was in the fight of her life.

Jessicah and her family credits St. Jude for saving her life as a child. They didn't know what the future would hold for her. Thankfully, she went on to live a normal, cancer free life! One concern that she had as an adult was if she would be able to have children or not due to the chemo. I'm happy to say that she is now happily married with not one, but three boys of her own. She's doing very well for herself and still goes back to St. Jude every other year for follow up tests.

Jessicah and her father, Michael, came into the studio a few years ago to share Jessicah's story of overcoming Leukemia and the importance St. Jude plays on the lives of all of its patients.

Her story touched the lives of many who heard. St. Jude gives children the opportunity to live out their dreams. Jessicha is now mother and doing fantastic thanks to the wonderful work of St. Jude.
