Some cities across the country offer a much better fan experience than others though, and the folks at Wallethub have taken a deep dive to determine which cities are the best... and the worst for football fans.

A Look at 250 American Cities to Find the Best and Worst For Football Fans
Each of the 250 cities in America that Wallethub compared have at least one college or professional football team, and each of those cities were graded on 21 specific criteria. They looked at everything from the number of National Football League and collegiate teams to the size of their respective stadiums, and fan engagement too.
The Best Cities for Football Fans in America Come As No Surprise
When breaking down the data, it may be no surprise to some that Pitsburgh, Pennsylvania - home of the Pitsburgh Steelers - takes the number one spot. Likewise, #2 Dallas and #3 Green Bay are not huge surprises either considering Cowboys and Packers fans, like Steelers fans are known to go all out, and not just on game day.
Where Does Indiana Rank for the Best Cities for Football Fans in 2025?
Indiana makes its first appearance on the list in the #22 position with Indianapolis. Not a bad ranking really, as the city is home to Lucus Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Colts. It even beat out the likes of Las Vegas and Nashville that took the #23 and #25 spots on the list respectively.

Where Does Indiana Rank for the Worst Cities for Football Fans in 2025?
I have to admit, I was suprised to see where Bloomington landed on the list. Home to IU Stadium, I expected Bloomington to be higher than it is. The city takes the #245 spot on the list, making it the #6 worst city for football fans.
