Our country is going through one of the worst times in history, but it's also a time of coming together to help our friends and neighbors. Many people are looking for ways to feed their families, because they have been without a paycheck - For the first time ever. We talked with Tri-State Food Bank Executive Director Glenn Roberts about their response and how you can help.

We have partnered with J.E. Shekell to fill those empty plates with The Tri-State Food Bank.  The Tri-State Food Bank services 33 counties, providing emergency food to help fill the monthly meal gap for needy households. Our ask comes with a challenge, but it's a fun one to create awareness about the Empty Plates and how we can Fill Them!

Jeff Bruce with J.E. Shekell talks about how important it is to serve the community:

How the #FillThePlate Challenge Works:

1. Post a photo of an empty plate on social media with the hashtag #FillThePlate to raise awareness about local food insecurity.

2. Challenge three friends by tagging them in your post.

3. Make a donation to help end Tri-State hunger.

For every $1 donated, Tri-State Food Bank provides 7 meals to families in need. Every donation counts.

  • $25
Enough to provide about 2 months' worth of groceries for a laid-off worker in need
  • $50
Enough to feed a child for 4 months
  • $100
Enough to feed a family of four for 2 months
