The Associated Press released their weekly High School Football rankings late Tuesday evening, and when the dust settled, eight Tri-State high schools found themselves ranked in the top ten of their respective classes.
It took 19 holes to make it happen, but Evansville native, and Central High School graduate, Dylan Meyer advanced to Friday's quarterfinals of the USGA's U.S. Amateur tournament with a one stroke win over Florida's Sam Horsfield.
Beginning this weekend, schools across the entire state of Indiana will serve as a testing ground for a 40-second play clock during high school football. Pending a successful run, the concept could be adopted across the country.
