While not new to playing music, I am a total newb at playing guitar, and it will be a while before I become a Jukebox Hero like Foreigner sang about. So, I am starting with the very basics - like the proper way to sit with the guitar, how to hold my pick, and even how to position my thumb on the back of the neck to give me the best control and reach for the fretboard. I have learned a couple of chords - hello E Minor and C 7 Major - and I am continuing to work on strengthening the calluses on my fingertips and increasing the mobility and dexterity in my hands.
