Earlier this year, Black Stone Cherry released their deeply personal song "The Rambler," a track that deals with life on the road and being away from loved ones. There's now a video to go along with the song, and it features country star Billy Ray Cyrus in the lead role.

Cyrus, who hails from the band's home state of Kentucky, is apparently a fan of Black Stone Cherry and was cool enough to star in the video. "'The Rambler' has been an incredibly special song to us from the beginning and we knew the video had to be equally as special, but not too over dramatic. Simple and effective," stated the band. "We are honored to have Billy Ray Cyrus as The Rambler in the video, as well as the many amazing actors and team it took to make this story come to life. We hope this special song and video hits a chord with you like it has for us."

The clip centers on a loner played by Cyrus who is spotted hanging around a bar. In the video it appears as though he's ready to speak to the attractive bartender on duty, but he's not there to pick her up. Instead, he watches over her and is there to lend a shoulder to cry on when she's involved in a dust-up between two suitors. But what is the drifter's true motivations and will he own up to his ties to the bartender? Watch above to see it all play out.

Black Stone Cherry are currently promoting their Kentucky album. The band is taking part in the Carnival of Madness tour this summer, headlined by their longtime pals Shinedown. Dates can be found here.
