The devastation in Moore, Oklahoma goes beyond comprehension and the death toll, unfortunately, continues to rise after yesterday's massive tornado that all but leveled the town of Moore. All of us in the Tri-State want to do anything we can to help and the best way to help is by making donations to the American Red Cross by calling 812-471-7200 or online at redcross.org/tristate. This radio station, along with Eyewitness News on WEHT Local, Local WTVW and the Courier & Press will be hosting a mediathon fundraiser tomorrow at the Red Cross  at the Lloyd and Stockwell. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward helping and expediting the recovery effort in Oklahoma.

This is not the first time Moore, OK has been devastated by a tornado. There was similar destruction in that town in May of 1999 and again in 2003. In 1999, the winds of that tornado exceeded 300 mph, the highest ever recorded and yesterday's tornado had winds above 200 mph.

I know we all have the same feeling in the pit of our stomachs today as the story continues to unfold. Again, you can make donations by calling 812-471-7200 or online at redcross.org/tristate.
