Warrick Humane Society Launches Social Media Contest for Animal Lovers
If you've ever spent five minutes around a shelter animal and immediately pulled out your phone to record the chaos, zoomies, or unexpected emotional moment, this contest was basically made for you.
Warrick Humane Society has announced a new social media video contest for volunteers throughout the month of June, encouraging participants to create fun, creative content featuring adoptable shelter pets.
Shelter pets already carry main-character energy most of the time, so this has the potential to produce some genuinely entertaining content.

Volunteers are Encouraged to Get Creative
According to WHS, volunteers can create videos featuring:
- Adoptable pets
- Shelter life
- Funny animal moments
- Behind-the-scenes clips
- Pet personalities
- Social media trends
- Heartwarming moments
- "Chaos gremlin" energy
Basically, if it helps showcase the animals and gets people engaged with the shelter online, it's fair game.
Participants will submit completed videos to the shelter, and WHS will post them across its social media platforms throughout June.

The Winner Will Receive Multiple Prizes
The contest winner will be determined by the video receiving the highest combined view count by the end of June.
The prize package includes:
- A $50 Amazon gift card
- A $50 Home Away Pet Spa gift card
- A personalized gift basket
WHS says volunteers can submit unlimited entries throughout the contest.
Participants can also include their own social media handles if they would like credit or tags on posted videos.

Shelter Visibility Can Make a Huge Difference for Animals
Social media has become one of the biggest tools shelters use to help animals get adopted.
Sometimes it's the polished professional photos that connect with people.
Other times it's a completely unhinged kennel zoomie video, a dramatic cat close-up, or a goofy shelter moment that suddenly helps an animal find its forever home.
Want to Participate? You Can Still Volunteer
Warrick Humane Society says people interested in participating can still apply to become volunteers through the shelter's website.
The organization says the contest is designed not only to make social media more engaging, but also to help more adoptable animals get seen by potential families throughout the community.
Besides... the internet was built for funny animal videos in the first place! Sign up to volunteer with WHS now.
