West Side Story: The Fight For KC’s Timeout on West Franklin
I don't know if you've been listening to the Franklin Street drama, but here's the skinny: KC's Timeout Lounge wants zoning to open a club in the old Harley Davidson building next to the Gerst Haus.
The Board of Zoning appeals meeting is on the third floor of the Evansville Civic Center on MLK Blvd. They meet at 4pm this THURSDAY, and the proposal for KC's new bar is up first on the docket. Please come out and show your support for K.C. as he tries to open up a fun, clean, safe, well-run restaurant and bar in the Franklin Street entertainment area!
K.C. runs good businesses: KC's Time Out in Washington Square Mall and KC's Corner Pocket. He is getting some opposition obviously, thus the Board of Zoning appeals meeting. A lot of the problem is the size of the club compared to adequate parking. The Board of Zoning cut KC's original plan in half, which is not what KC planned.
To voice your opinion, show up Thursday from 4 PM - 5PM in the Civic Center

There's lots more on this in the city-county observer.
