I recently visited Deja Vu Skin & Vein Center in Newburgh to undergo laser tattoo removal and you can watch!

If 39 year old me could have a conversation with 22 year old me, it would likely involve a lot of sage advice. It would definitely include a warning about the tattoo that 22 year old me thought was a good idea. Don't get me wrong. I have a lot of tattoos now. I think, without actually counting, that I am at a dozen or so... and I love most of them. They each tell a story and have a bit of history to go along with them. The one on my finger, however, that is one piece of history that I'd like to put out of my mind and off my skin.

That's where Deja Vu Skin & Vein Center in Newburgh comes in. I had a consult with Alix who walked me through what to expect and approximately how many treatments I could expect to have. She explained the process very thoroughly so I felt confident and comfortable with my decision to undergo laser tattoo removal. Now, I won't lie. It does hurt. Much like getting the tattoo in the first place, there is discomfort but it is short lived. I have had two treatments now and I can see some fading from the original condition of my tattoo. It is going to be a process and will take several visits spread out over time but I am optimistic that I'll be able to shed this reminder of just how clueless I was at 22!
