Two Sinkholes Open in Evansville in 24 Hours

A couple Evansville roads have been affected due to sinkholes opening up!

Yesterday afternoon (5/20) Oak Hill Road North bound between Columbia and Willow, was shut down due to a sinkhole opening up. It's on Oak Hill near the cemetery. Then today part of Green River road just south of Washington Avenue has had a sinkhole open up.

Evansville Water and Sewer Utility took to Twitter today (5/21) to share that the north bound lands of Green River Road just south of Washington Ave are blocked due to a sinkhole.

So please be cautious when driving, and pay attention as Water and Sewer Utility vehicles will be in the areas investigating the issues.
