There is so much going on in this international trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight that I can hardly begin to imagine how bananas Michael Bay’s latest sequel will actually be when it hits theaters this month. It may not be over three hours long (as was erroneously reported last week), but given just how much story is happening here, that runtime doesn’t seem all that crazy. This movie just looks real extra.

This summer’s hottest Transformers movie is The Last Knight — it has everything: Nazi robots, Medieval times, Anthony Hopkins, crazy ninja butlers. It says something that no one was surprised by the rumored three hour-plus runtime.

There’s tons of previously unseen footage in this international trailer, from insanely elaborate blockbuster set pieces to bots both new and familiar, but let’s not kid ourselves: The real selling point is the wacky concept of Transformers throughout history. World War II just makes so much more sense when you throw Bumblebee into the mix, you know?

When all seems lost, a few brave souls can save everything we’ve ever known. The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Transformers: The Last Knight also stars John Goodman, Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro and newcomer Isabela Moner, and hits theaters on June 21.
