Bourbon and Rock n Roll Combine

All in all, the weekend is a bourbon lover's dream come true, and this year's event was extra special for those that love rock music too. Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm were on hand at the event as part of the collaborative announcement of the band's new straight bourbon whiskey in partnership with Three Chord Bourbon.

More on Three Chord Bourbon

According to our bourbon insider, Jacob Kiper (ComingWhiskey on IG), Three Chords is a Michigan-based bourbon brand owned by musician, songwriter, and producer Neil Giraldo. Aside from owning the popular bourbon brand, Giraldo is also married to legendary rock frontwoman, Pat  Benatar.

Part of the Backstage Series

Jacob shared details of the new collaboration between Three Chord and Halestorm, the latest of the brands partnerships with bands known as the Backstage Series. These collaborations sit right around the $50 price point per bottle.

Halestorm and Cherry Blossoms

The partnership with Halestorm has bore "a Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskeys finished in Cherry Bounce barrels," labeled in true rock n roll fashion with a beautiful blend of cherry blossoms and skulls that are an homage to the jacket frequently worn by Lzzy.

The cherry blossoms on this label are inspired by the whiskey and a jacket worn by Lzzy Hale. These straight bourbons from Tennessee and Indiana were blended and then moved into a barrel that previously held "Cherry Bounce," a unique spirit made with cherries, whiskey, and baking spices.  The time in the "Cherry Bounce" barrel allowed this bourbon to pick up some very subtle cherry notes that help bring together two very different styles of bourbon, reminiscent of how Halestorm blends so many influences to create a unique sound that is celebrated by millions.
