Crown Hill Cemetery
Located in Indianapolis is Crown Hill Cemetery. Crown Hill Cemetery is the oldest urban green space in the city, so along with being a final resting place for many Hoosiers, it's also a setting for some gorgeous scenery. Crown Hill is known for many notable names who call Crown Hill their final resting place. For instance, Crown Hill is where the 23rd President of the United States, Benjamin Harrison was laid to rest.
Crown Hill is also the final resting place of the infamous gangster, Public Enemy No. 1, John Dillinger.
James Whitcomb Riley who is known as the Hoosier Poet was also laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery. According to Crown Hill, his famous works include “Little Orphant Annie” and “The Raggedy Man” which served as the inspiration behind the Broadway musical Annie and the Raggedy Ann books and dolls.
