Creepy Abandoned Places

I've always found abandoned places fascinating.  I love looking at photos and videos about abandoned places because they usually have an interesting history.  It's also such a weird thing to see a place that was once so full of life, so run down, and see what places look like when nature slowly starts to take over.   It's fascinating and haunting at the same time.  I always enjoy looking at photos and videos of abandoned places, because I personally do not have the nerve to go explore them myself.

Hayswood Hospital

*WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
Located in Maysville, Kentucky is a giant building that was once known as Hayswood Hospital.   According to AbandonedOnline.Net this building was constructed in the early 1900s and was named Hayswood Hospital a century ago, in 1922. The hospital operated until the 1980s when they closed their doors for good in 1983.

Since closing the old hospital has changed ownership many times, but unfortunately, nothing has really been done to the building due to the exorbitant costs to renovate it.According to an article from PeoplesDefender.com in 2021, this building went up for sale again, and the owners had at one point been interested in opening the building for historical and paranormal tours, but at the moment I don't believe any of that has happened.

Claims of Hauntings at HayswoodHospital

If you search Google for "Hayswood Hospital" you'll get all kinds of information on hauntings from this building.  Many people have chilling stories of paranormal experiences.  HauntedHouses.com says there are reports of glowing lights coming from inside the building, hearing noises of babies crying and people screaming, and the most famous is the legend of the crying woman.  There is said to be an entity of a woman who died during childbirth at the Hayswood Hospital that now haunts the halls of the abandoned building.

I'm not sure about you, but that's enough information to keep me away!  Please remember, this place is NOT open to the public for exploration, so if you want to see what it looks like, stick to videos and photos online.
