BREAKING: Semi Overturned Hwy 41 North Henderson Kentucky
A portion of Highway 41 North is currently shutdown to traffic after a semi tractor-trailer overturned.
Work Continues I-69 Ohio River Crossing
Construction has been underway for some time in Henderson, Kentucky as crews work to complete the I-69 River Crossing to create a new connection between the Commonwealth and neighboring Evansville, Indiana.
New Ramps in Henderson, Kentucky
The I-69 River Crossing has been broken down into smaller projects, with one of those projects taking place in the southern portion of Henderson County along Highway 41. It's here that new ramps have been built as part of the project.
Semi Overturned on Highway 41 NB Ramp
Around 3:21 pm CST today, the Henderson Police Department shared photos of an accident involving a semi that has overturned on the new ramp on Highway 41 that is part of that construction project.
Motorists Asked to Avoid Area
In their post to Facebook, officials are asking motorists to avoid the area, saying that it is expected to take some time to clean up the area.
Use Caution!!! Accident on 41 Northbound on new ramp in construction area. Semi has flipped on its side. Please avoid the area to allow first responders to work along with the cleanup. This will take some time to clean up with the spill and the tractor being on its side.
Henderson Police Department is encouraging motorists to use an alternate route by taking the Zion exit while traveling northbound on Highway 41.
