Scooter Meltdown!

If you listen to my show between 1p-4p weekedays on 103GBF, you may have picked up on my distain for scooters.  My objection is not with scooter riders who totally diregard the rules of the road.  I'm guessing since they don't have to have a license, they are exempt from the laws other motorists have to obey.  From my understanding, if your vehicle's engine is 'under' 50cc then no license/regitration is needed.  Back when I was growing up, you had to even have a license for your bicycle.  I think this would be a great concept to apply to scooters today, as they often diregard all known traffic laws and for that reason as well as the rampant theft of scooters, need to be regulated and the riders held responsible. Who's with me?  BTW, the accopmanying photo is one I took at the neighborhood Wal Mart Grocery, where an old guy ran his scooter into the wall and spilled gas and other fluids all over the place.  The boys at EFD House House 16 quickly arrived to clean up this numbnuts mess!   Ah, your tax dollars at work!
