Downtown Newburgh Hosting Massive America 250 Celebration
Downtown Newburgh will be the place to be on Friday, July 3rd. Between the parade, food trucks, live music, classic cars, family activities, and fireworks over the Ohio River, there's going to be something happening from morning until night as the community celebrates America's 250th birthday.
The best part, you're invited, and we've got everything you need to know to plan your day. Here's what you can expect.
Warrick County America 205 Parade Starts the Day
The celebration begins on Friday morning in Historic Newburgh with the Warrick County America 250 Parade. Food trucks open at 9 am, and the parade officially begins at 10 am.
The parade route starts near Titzer Funeral Home, traveling east on Jennings Street before heading north on State Street to the Newburgh Museum.
This event is bringing together local organizations, community groups, and patriotic floats to celebrate America's 250th birthday while also benefiting local museums, including the Newburgh Museum, Warrick County Museum, and Museum of the Coal Industry. Register your parade entry here.

Newburgh Jubilee 250 Takes Over the Riverfront
Beginning at 2 pm, the celebration shifts to the riverfront for Newburgh Jubilee 250 along the French Island Trail.
Presented by Bertram Chiropractic and Wellness, the afternoon and evening celebration will feature live music, food trucks, a beer garden, shopping, family activities, and more.
There will be 18 different area food trucks on hand from 2 pm - 9 pm serving up delicious food for your taste buds.
Live music performances at the Allen Family Amphitheater will include Dreamstreet and The Happy New Month Band, along with additional music happening throughout town.
Families can also enjoy free balloon twists and other kids' activities, while adults 21 and older can stop by the American Legion Beer Garden. Plus, the Stars and Stripes Mechanical Bull will be there, available for adults and kids, from 4 pm - 8 pm.
Additionally, free parking is available at Sharon Elementary with free buses shuttling to and from the Amphitheater. ADA buses will also be available, and all buses begin running at 1:45 pm.
The Newburgh 250 Car Show Runs Throughout the Evening
Car enthusiasts can also be part of the celebration during the Newburgh 250 Car Show, happening from 2 pm to 9 pm at the Old Lock and Dam.
Participants can register their vehicles in advance for $20, and anyone registered by June 15 will receive a free t-shirt. The event will also feature door prizes and awards.
The car show gives participants a front-row seat to the rest of the festivities, including live music, food trucks, and the fireworks later that evening.
Fireworks Over the Burgh Caps Off the Night
The celebration wraps up Friday night with Fireworks Over the Burgh lighting up the skies over the Ohio River at dusk.
The fireworks event runs from 6 pm to 10 pm, and is presented by Heritage Federal Credit Union. Organizers encourage visitors to arrive early to enjoy downtown shopping, local restaurants, live entertainment, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and the festive riverfront atmosphere before the fireworks begin.
The entire day sounds like one of those classic summer nights that people talk about for years afterwards. If you're looking for a fun way to kick off Independence Day weekend, downtown Newburgh has a full day of patriotic celebration planned.
