I told you earlier this week about the loss our family suffered in April and about the unnamed kitten that Shawn and I adopted this week from the Kindle and Clowder Institute for Wayward Felines. We have really been struggling with just the right name to give to our new four-legged, furry child so I reached out to you, the GBF audience, to see what kind of creative kitty names you had up your sleeves and let me tell you - you did not disappoint! Here are some of the suggestions from you...

  • Rebecca went straight forward: Meow Monster
  • Frances incorporated the station name: Gbf=gnarly best friend
  • Brittany went with old school kitty names: Mischief or shadow
  • Sierra suggested one we were already tossing around: Bowie
  • Sherrill gave us a history lesson and suggested: Wiscasset
  • Paule went rock n roll on us: Ace or Hendrix
  • Alicia got punny: Sheddy Vedder or Stevie Licks

Shawn and I tossed around so many great names - Logan (Wolverine), Marvel, Thor, Bowie, Zeppelin, Floyd, Zeus, Finnley, and more before we settled on what we have decided sounds like a superhero name: Jupiter Jack! Since Shawn is the artist in the family, I have asked him to draw Jupiter Jack as a superhero complete with cape, white boots and laser gun but it still remains to be seen if that is actually going to happen. In the meantime, if you'd like to see all of the name suggestions or to leave your own, see the post below
