June 4th marked the 29th anniversary of Metallica's multi-platinum sixth studio album, Load. On June 13th, the band will release a definitive reissue on their own label, Blackened Recordings, and you could win a digital download!

The band has been releasing remasters of their catalog, and Load is just the latest. The remastered, reissued album will be released globally on Friday, June 13, 2025. The Load reissue is produced by Bob Rock and will contain an uncut version of a previously edited track.

What’s New in the Remastered Version of Load?

The June 13th drop will include the classics from Load, including “Until It Sleeps,” “Hero of the Day,” and “King Nothing.” However, for the first time, the original, full, extended version of “The Outlaw Torn” will be included on the album. The song was originally edited because of manufacturing limits.

The reissue of Load has been remastered by Award-Winning mastering engineer Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering, with executive producer Greg Fidelman at the helm. It’s available for pre-order at Metallica.com in just about every format imaginable - cassette, CD, digital, 2-LP vinyl, a 3-CD expanded edition, and the massive Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set that weighs over ten pounds!!
