Lethal Weapon Season 3 Premiere Review
SPOILER ALERT: IT'S NOT THE SAME WITHOUT RIGGS.
This review is going to be spoiler central, just a heads up.
The show Lethal Weapon on Fox is based on the classic 1980s-1990s movie franchise with Roger "I'm gettin' too old for this sh*t" Murtaugh and Martin "I do what I want" Riggs.
So, I really enjoyed the first two seasons. Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford had great Riggs/Murtaugh chemistry on screen.
Off screen was a different story though.
Apparently Crawford was a little too much like Riggs when the cameras were off and was reprimanded for bad behavior twice during filming of the second season, which later resulted in his firing.
So Season 3 was going to be the first time we saw Murtaugh sans Riggs. Does he get a new partner? Would the new partner be filling the shoes of Riggs? Would the on screen chemistry be believable? Did they acknowledge Riggs' death, or just leave it be at the end of last season (very a la Charmed season 3 with Shannen Doherty)?
