More and more companies have been responding to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with new requirements, first for their associates, and then for their customers.

On the heels of a Walmart/Sam's Club mask mandate that begins Monday, July 20th, Kroger stores will also now require masks be worn by their patrons.

Regarding enforcement of the new mandate, WDRB/Louisville spoke with Kroger spokesperson, Erin Grant, who said that there will be signs on the doors reminding customers that masks or facial coverings will be required to enter. Announcements will also be made in-store.

Directional arrows in aisles, six-feet markers on floors, and plexiglass partitions are already in place.

Grant encouraged those who cannot wear masks to utilize e-commerce options, such as pickup and delivery.
