Do you have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up unrested? Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that affects many people in the United States. According to a study by CBDfx, Kentucky residents suffer the most.

My problem isn't that I can't fall asleep staying asleep is where I have issues. It's not from feeling scared, stressed, or anxious. When I wake up, I can't switch my brain off. Then I feel stressed trying to get back to sleep. I know if I'm well rested, I'll have a more productive day which adds pressure. When I start counting backward from 100, it does help me become less restless most of the time. Cleveland Clinic shared some tactics that can help put your mind to rest. They recommended trying meditation through slow breathing exercises or other relaxation techniques. They suggest using a journal to release stress and embrace gratitude. Try cutting out bedtime screen time to help you wind down. They recommend talking to your doctor if you find yourself losing hours of sleep every night.

KENTUCKY RANKED THIRD-MOST SLEEP-DEPRIVED STATE IN AMERICA

If you're having trouble sleeping, you're not alone! The new study, conducted by CBD product site CBDfx, analyzed data issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to identify the sleepiest states in America. According to the metrics used in the study, 42% of people are getting less than seven hours of sleep per night in Kentucky. It also has a depression severity score of 1.57, the sixth highest rate of depression per state alongside Oregon.

There’s no doubt that sleep is essential for a healthy brain and bodily function. In turn, insufficient sleep can potentially lead to more severe health problems. It’s interesting to note, however, that the majority of these sleepy states are in the East. There are more crowded, metropolitan areas than the West, and the conditions of these busy surroundings, such as excessive noise pollution, may then cause lower quality of sleep.”, a spokesperson at CBDfx shared
