Kat Thinks Evansville Needs a Bacon Bar

While watching a little Food Network over the weekend, I realized what has been missing from Evansville - more bacon.

I watched an episode of "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" this weekend, and there was a restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin called The Comet Cafe where the chef serves nearly everything with bacon.

Comet specializes in from-scratch comfort food and craft beers. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients that are characteristic of the Midwest and purchased from as many local businesses and purveyors as possible. Come visit us for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, home made desserts and bacon! We also have lots of vegan and vegetarian menu options for those who only love bacon in spirit.

 

Not only do they serve food and even cocktails with bacon, but, according to Diners, Drive-ins & Dive, on Sundays when you sit at the bar and order a beer, the Comet serves you a bottomless basket of bacon too! A basket of bacon with your beer! Holy flying hog butt, this is a brilliant idea! Now, the real question is how do we get a place in Evansville to give this a go?
