Jelly Roll is bringing his Backroad Baptism Tour to Evansville and we have your chance to win tickets before they go on sale.

 Crossing Genre Lines

Jelly Roll got his musical start in Hip Hop before crossing over into the world of Rock Music. His single "Dead Man Walking" held the number-one spot on the rock charts for a couple of weeks. In 2021, Shinedown welcomed Jelly Roll to the stage at the Blue Ridge Rock Fest to sing Simple Man with them. There is no doubt he has put down roots in the heart of rockers all across the world.

Jumping into Country Too

Now, it seems the artist, born in Nashville, Tennessee, is going back to the roots of his hometown by crossing over into the world of country music as well. There has been a long history of rock and country cross-over between artists and music - You may remember when Johnny Cash covered Nine Inch Nails "Hurt." So it is no surprise that an artist like Jelly Roll would dive into the country scene as well. His voice certainly lends itself to all three genres.

Outright genre-bending singer/songwriter/rapper Jelly Roll has quietly been building a remarkable
career, under the radar and on his own terms. Since his days selling his mix tapes out of his car, he has
constantly been independently releasing new music (more than 24 albums), touring relentlessly,
consistently topping various iTunes charts, engaging a rabid fanbase and creating videos that have
amassed nearly 2 billion views on YouTube. He pairs deeply personal lyrics with music that blends
Old-school Rap, Classic Rock, Country and Soul to create music that is therapeutic, raw and tackles
the heaviness in life.
His 2020 single “Save Me” — a confessional, vulnerable expression of self-doubt set the stage for his
new season of life and took him to new heights, with more than 155 million views on YouTube and
Platinum certification from the RIAA.
