“Clays for a Cause” Returns to Support Ronald McDonald House
When it comes to fundraisers, everyone has their favorite way to give back. Some people love getting dressed up for a fancy gala, while others prefer a more casual approach like shopping for school supplies, donating toys, or helping stock a food pantry. But if you’re looking for something a little outside the ordinary — something that combines giving back with a little friendly competition — then grab your team and get ready to take aim at the annual Clays for a Cause event this September.
You Do Not Have to Be an Expert Shooter
And yes, the “clays” part means this fundraiser involves shooting clay targets. But don’t let that scare you away if you’ve never picked up a shotgun before. This event isn’t about being the best shooter on the course. It’s about coming together, having fun, and supporting an incredible cause — helping keep families together during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Supporting Families Through Ronald McDonald House
Clays for a Cause benefits the Ronald McDonald House, an organization dedicated to providing comfort, care, and a place to stay for families with children receiving medical treatment. Every shot taken helps support the important work of making sure families can stay close when they need each other most.
More Than Just a Day at the Range
Of course, there’s much more to the event than just shooting. Participants can enjoy great food, entertainment, games, prizes, a silent auction, and even a bourbon pull. It’s a full day of fun, friendship, and fundraising.
Event Details and Registration Information
The 2026 Clays for a Cause event is happening September 24th and 25th at OFS Cool Springs in Velpen, Indiana. Teams can register a squad of five shooters for $1,500, or individuals can sign up for $300 and be paired with other participants to create a team. Each squad will take 100 shots and have the chance to participate in special activities like the Crazy Quail game stand, the Mossberg stand, and the Savage stand.
