This time of year always puts me in the mood to shop vintage.  I can't lie, I treasure hunt in spring, summer, and winter too, but fall gives the best vibes for the ideal experience. Grab a coffee, hit up antique shops, and stop at estate sales and markets along the journey.

One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday or Sunday morning is to jump in the "Party Barge" and follow handmade "yard sale" signs all over town. I'm gonna do just that next weekend because I already plan to stop by Hyacinth House here in Owensboro.

They are hosting another vintage market at their location on 18th Street on Sunday, October 18th, from 12 to 6 PM. Multiple vendors will be set up with all kinds of vintage decor, art, clothes, and more. Last time, there were 15 vendors to browse and shop. That's at least how many the organizer, Blake Rumage, is shooting for this time as well.

So, if you are a vintage seller or you know someone who is, there are still a few spaces available. Just holler at Blake or Hyacinth House on Facebook or Instagram. You'll be amongst some really cool folks like Bruss Vintage:

Be sure to click on those profiles and check them out. In my professional opinion, it looks like they'll have some GREAT finds! Of course, while you're there, check out the clothes, hats, jewelry, art, and more at Hyacinth House. It's one of my favorite places to look for cool t-shirts and accessories. Blake always keeps an eye out for retro WBKR and radio merch for me!

Happy treasure hunting! If you want to make a day of it, here is a list of local thrift, vintage, and antique shops you can visit as well.

This Quirky Henderson 'Hidden Gem' is a Vintage Lover's Dream

I love treasure hunting! One of my favorite local shops to visit is Corkscrew Curiosities in Henderson. In an old house at 920 2nd St. is the most adorable little quirky haven of vintage treasures, books old and new, trinkets, stickers, fidgets, clothes, jewelry, local art, and even some wild oddities. Here's just a taste of this unique must-visit spot.
